In this short video you will learn the basics of how to use Chaos Scatter to easily place trees, grass, and rocks in a landscape scene.

00:09 - Add a Chaos Scatter object.
00:17 - Choose where to distribute your foliage.
00:25 - Add objects to be distributed (trees).
00:30 - Adjust the number of scattered instances to create.
00:46 - Adjust slope controls & fine-tune your distribution (stop trees from growing on cliffs).
01:03 - Set up a second Scatter for grass.
01:46 - Use spline objects to exclude specific areas (make a path through the grass).
01:55 - Fine-tune paths with distance controls.
02:10 - Each spline can have different settings (create multiple paths through the grass, which can all have different widths).
02:39 - Add a third scatter for bushes and wild flowers (spline excludes mean they will not appear on the paths).
