About the Text:
The Flight of the Garuda is a poetic composition about Trekchö. It is a transmission of the heart advice of one of the most praised Rimé (non-sectarian) masters of Tibet. Ordained as a Gelugpa monk the yogi Shabkar was roaming in the countryside of Tibet and Nepal. He was famous for his Dzogchen teachings, the heart practice of the Nyingma lineage. By his great ability to communicate the essence of the teachings in a poetic and crystal clear style, he turned the minds of many people to the Dharma.
