Just give each checkpoint clone a for this sprite only variable so when touching player broadcast: checkpoint. In the player make a when I receive: checkpoint set save x to X position set save Y to Y position. (Adapt this part o your script so if you have a variable or a board cast to set when the player has died) when i receive: death go to X position: save X Y position : save Y. And I f you have more values like camera or anything just make save variables for those too

when the player dies, make them go to X and Y variables, and whenever you touch a checkpoint, those variables are set to that checkpoint. (btw my current project has 4000 blocks, so you can trust me). Also make sure you account for the Scroll X and Scroll Y, if they don't directly equal the negative of the player x and y, then make sure you do.
