What if it is enteric-coated? Will it survive the stomach acid?

I was a 35 year heavy smoker, and have been told by 3 doctors that I have lots of scar tissue in my lungs. Nothing I did worked. I tried deep breathing and other things and I can say that in my experience after being on Serrapeptase for 4 weeks I'm definitely seeing a marked improvement in my breathing. I can breathe more deeply and fully and I haven't heard a "lung crackle" in over a week which used to be a daily occurrence. I can't say it works for everyone but it has definitely made a difference in my life. I take it at 5am with 7 oz of water and go back to sleep. A couple of hours later I wake up and eat breakfast.

The idea is to get the serrapeptase THROUGH the stomach where it can digest in the intestines. Serretia, from Arthur Andrew Medical, states in the directions to take with 8 ounces of water on an empty stomach, which would seem to dilute the stomach acids long enough for the pill to pass through. The pill has a coating called "Acid Armor" that I suppose is their version of an enteric coating.

I've never experienced any problems with burping or gastric problems. However, my wife took it and for the first few times, she didn't use 8 ounces of water but just enough to get the pill down. (She didn't read the directions). She asked me why I never started burping when she did every time. Once she started drinking the 8 ounces of water, she no longer had the problem.

As far as "If it works" goes, I started taking it to see if it could help with my arteries to help bring my blood pressure down over time. About 4 hours after I took the first dose, I got up out of my chair and realized that my hip (that has been hurting for around 8 months) was not hurting at all. That wasn't even what I started taking it for. Since then, an old shoulder injury that has been basically an ongoing, occasional pain, also stopped hurting altogether.

My wife, after seeing how it worked with me, started taking it to see if it would help with her foot pain (She's a surgical nurse, 4 foot 10 and she's chasing 6 foot 2" doctors around for 90 to 100 or so patients a day.) It seems to be really helping her feet and her lower back pain has gone away, also.

It's been 5 years since this video was posted so you probably already know all this by now. I just thought I'd put in my 2-cents. Thanks for posting!

I want to share something that happened to me just recently. I have had arthritis for most of my life and desperately been trying to find something natural to help with the discomfort. Well, Ive been reading about Serrapeptase for awhile and decided to give it a shot. I have been taking it for about 2 weeks now and I haven't felt this good in years! Not only has my joint pain been diminished but something totally unexpected and miraculous also happened. I've had a bad cough for over two years now. It kept me from sleeping at night and I couldn't get rid of it. I was actually afraid to have it checked because I thought it was something very serious. I just didn't want to know. I am absolutely shocked that my cough has gone away after taking Serrapeptase! I always had congestion and phlem and a cough but that is now all gone! I wasn't even expecting that to happen in the least. I am so damn happy I tried this people. I'm not qualified to recommend anything to anyone but this has been nothing short of miraculous for me. I am feeling so much better these days and it has improved my attitude so much also. That's my story. Good health to all of you.

I used iSerra 250, 000 serrapeptase for two months. As a secretary for fifty years, I have painful carpal tunnel in my right arm. At the end of two months, the pain is gone. It feels as though the blood flow in that arm has been restored. I am convinced that as we age, our pancreas gets tired and depleted. I will be combining serrapeptase, nattokinase and lumbrokinase in the future. My understanding is that serrapeptase improves muscle, while nattokinase and lumbrokinase improve veins and arteries.

I've been taking it and I love it. It's cheap and effective for keeping your sinuses clear for sure. It also has helped my blood pressure and arthritis.

Do you ever wonder if some of the establishment publications publish studies supported by the pharmaceutical industry to prevent supplements becoming widely recognized as working thus taking away some of their drug sales with related use drugs?

IT MOST DEFINITELY WORKS FOR ME! Herniated disc > sciatic nerve inflammation & pain. I was doing better and better until a flare up a month ago. I was already on an anti-inflammatory diet, and taking ginger and curcumin daily. I tripled my curcumin and started drinking 2 cups of ginger tea daily.... with no results. Started taking serrapeptase and started feeling much better on the 2nd day. First few days I took only one 125k SPU pill... then i bumped it up to 2/day. 6 days in and I feel I've regained my life (I was in pretty bad shape). Not to say there are no side effects. Lots of fatigue today but not sure if it's from a hard workout I had yesterday. Will update this in a week.

I have been using serrapeptase for three years on and off. First thing I can say is the whenever I have had an extra cup of coffee or have some acid reflux it helps me settle down and let’s me sleep within an hour. It mildly kicks out any insomnia that I may have because of a bad sleep routine or jet lag. Secondly, it whips my sinuses back into top notch condition within a day. Thirdly, I find that it helps me with post work out pains but whenever I take it my muscles lose definition for a day or so. It didn’t help me with any scar removal. I think it’s helping me clean my arteries but I have no way of knowing.

Yes it works! It’s around 20 here in Texas and have been off work because, but I had the serapeptase at work, hurting so bad, went to office and got them, took two an hr ago and I already feel relief. My joints were catching like trigger finger used to do, was my ankle and my knee on other leg. This is AMAZING . been taking for 6mos. I didn’t realize how much it helped.

I don't know if Serrapeptase does all the things that it is said to do, but I use it solely for sinus issues. It works amazingly well for that! It can almost work a little too well as some days my sinuses are so dry that if I blow my nose it'll bleed a bit. I'd much rather deal with the occasional bloody nose than the kind of sinus problems I used to have where my entire faces and even teeth would throb from excess mucus. I take it on an empty stomach first thing in the morning. Two 40, 000 IU Doctor's Best brand. :)

I was hurting all over from overworking remodeling a porch, it got so bad I had to go home twice this week, was like I had the flu without fever, but knees would get hot and one hand. I was about to go home yesterday and Serrapeptase came in the mail, immediately took 2, within less than 30min, was pain free.
My husband has had chronic mucous with coughing up mucous for 3yrs. He took 2 and didn’t cough, except to rid him of the excess mucous stored in his lungs. We are sold. Woke up today not hurting and he hasn’t been blowing his nose or coughing. He and I are very HAPPY we came across Serrapeptase. I am here because I want to know MORE.

New to this channel and I immediately noticed something special about Dr. Brewer. He genuinely reads all comments and responds when it makes sense. Spending countless hours on YT, you rarely see this. IMO, this can be more valuable than the content. Often times we are left asking many questions, especially when it comes to medical content. For that, I think we should lay off the harsh criticisms and thank the man!

it's enteric coated to not dissolve in the stomach but in the intestines .

I cannot verify what serrapeptase is doing to my vascular system, but I guarantee that has totally cleared up my sinuses in a few short weeks.... thus, it is obvioulsy surviving the stomach acid issue.

I started using it almost 3 months ago. Bought another bottle. I had benign cysts under my breast for years. Looked one day, and they’re almost gone ! Also I had spider veins up and down my right leg. They are almost gone too. Have Cataracts also. Can’t wait. Not sure, but I think my sight is improving too!

It can take years (or even decades) to get approved by the FDA. And that adds up to a lot of money. I’m glad they chose the OTC route. I bought serrapeptase and could not remember why; which is why I watched this video. The bottle only lists the ingredients, the dose and when/how to take it. I’m so glad to look through the comments to see everyone’s experience with it.

Hey Doc....another site I watched prior to this one introduced this subject and noted that taking this should be done two hours prior to or two hours after eating. In particular the morning hours prior to eating breakfast referenced the lowest acid production and hence the most opportune time for consumption. They also noted that (in all likelihood) the delivery coatings most likely 'if they actually exist' would allow this work later in the small intestinal track as such. Otherwise, if that wasn't so or if taken with a meal, the enzymes would instead work on any protein we'd get from our food (not a good thing). Hope this helps.
