Has anyone else been a class act like Sid? Never been in trouble off the ice. He's one of the few perfect athletes ever. So rare in his generation.

I love sid's work ethic. He pushes himself to the limits. Thank for making this video. Great job as always

When you train with the best, you become the best. When you have two of the best training together, that redefines what "the best" is.

Liked when Andy said hockey players need to be "every athlete lumped into one" 14:25. It's a power sport, an agility sport, a fast thinking sport & when someone does a 4-5 minute shift in the 3rd period, game 7, round 3 - athletic endurance is on display.

Sidney doing summersaults --- concussion history --- dizziness was part of his recovery I'm sure. Might not be a technical hockey move, but perhaps it's part of his training because he's still unsure of his concussion history coming back to haunt him. This may help him feel confident that his mind is not going to be hurt if he plays at full speed

So you’re telling me if Phil Kessel didn’t eat cheeseburgers and hotdogs all summer he would be the best player in the league?

"...show me your schedule." <---- Absolutely! Great advice, Coach.

summersault sprint is likely to be mimicking falling on the ice randomly and then getting up and skating full speed to get back into the play?

You are very well spoken and it was great to listen to your take. Great video, cheers

My thought for sumersalt sprints is getting up off the ground fast. In the NHL hitting is legal, so they learn how to go down safely and get up fast. Just my thought tho

Is the somersault sprint to create disorientation before a linear movement? Emphasis on maintaining proper form during the sprint?

Crosby, MacKinnon, Marchand pretty stellar talent out of NS!

I feel that a lot of guys in the NHL simply rely on their innate talent. Whereas guys like Sid, continue to find that drive to push boundaries, even in the off season. As a hockey fan who never really like Sid, to be honest, I can respect this part of his character and game This is also what makes him so good and as mentioned, able to continue to thrive into his 30s.

love this stuff guys. i hate standard running, but this kind of stuff is actually fun. have your speed training package, rings and ladder and look forward to busting it out this summer. as an older player in his 50's, this stuff is key to continuing to enjoy the game.

i see Kevin is wearing proper footwear for this kind of hard core field training. real risk of a quick slip out or ankle roll in regular running shoes. smart.
