I saw this 2 years ago and was inspired by Terrel Owens....I told my wife it would be a dream to be Owen's age and still be in elite shape and run like I was 20 years old. So she said to me, "if it means a lot to you, what's stopping you from getting back in shape". Keep in mind, I ran track for Cal Berkeley and finished as an all American sprinter.
After 17 years of not running, I gained 45 lbs and became fat. I was unhappy and I started my fitness journey.
2 years later, I am now 40 years old and running track again. I am ranked #2 in the country for 400m (51.85) and #2 in 200m (23.32).
I went from 215 lbs to 170 lbs, losing 45 lbs. I am ripped and love running track again.
Terrell Owen's inspired me so much in my life. I watched him win the 49ers game with the miraculous catch and wanted to play football because of that play.
Years later, he continues to inspire me and if he can do sprints at age 50, I will too.
