I'd never thought of Snowden as a future politician, but this is actually a fantastic idea. And unlike too many people who join the military with the sole aim of getting to elected office, there is genuine patriotic self-sacrifice to Snowden's choices.

Snowden may have a very good resume to show but as far as politics in today's world are concerned, they are often won by winning people's hearts. If I know correctly, Pete Buttigieg had a sparkling track record. However, he was trampled over by people with heavier voices and polar opinions. Wouldn't snowden face the same challenges that Andrew Yang or Pete? If not, What is it that is different about Edward?
