My son and I went and saw this when it came out I was in tears. I was an English teacher each day I would drive by this American embassy. I was on the edge of my seat watching this

8:we don’t speak English here, we are in Iran, we speak Persian.
Other guard: that’s enough, get inside and take a seat.

10:goodbye, it’s over, the days of the shah is over and you guys will go too, all of you.
11:none of them has a work visa, did you check? Did you check it or not?
The other guard: yes.
11:they don’t have a work visa.
12:you don’t have a journalist visa.

I have never been as tense watching a movie for the first time as I was watching this. Seriously...it was INCREDIBLE acting...and you KNOW the outcome already. My disbelief was fully suspended because of the incredible job by the Iranian and American actors.

Ok I really want to learn a language now that was so awesome how he said you don’t go until I verify!! Sweet moment when the guy explaining to the soldiers, must of said to himself thank goodness I learned this language, my life really depends on it now 😚
