Just came here looking for the clip right after they are done talking and they show the “thank you Canada” banner scene because the music during it is LITERALLY from Spy Game. Haven’t seen the movie in so long but after thinking about where I heard it from, it clicked on me. Reason why I bring it up is because I find it a tad odd due to Spy Game not only being about the C.I.A., but also the time period, both movies are on the same time period but Spy Game came out in 2001. Not that it matters to me especially if it’s like an homage to Spy Game but if it’s not, than somebody was stealing a little 😂😂

The CIA had to give the Canadians credit because Iran didn't have a grudge against Canada until after this operation. If the CIA took credit, the Iranians would retaliate against the hostages and would make negotiations with them even hatder.
