Prove everything!

I had heard that some Essential Oils were great at repelling insects, so when I found a massive pile of ants in our driveway I decided to test it out!

Geranium, Peppermint (shown in another video), Cedarwood, Lavender and Tea Tree oil all worked exceptionally well. Vetiver worked too, but was a little less effective than the others.

I wanted to see the pepper mint oil. You should do a test on which oil spiders hate the most. Awsome vid!

Any disturbance, such as a drop of liquid, will make the ants move away. It would be great if there's a control group where you simply drop vegetable oil, for instance.

💡Also I put white vinegar, peppermint oil & eucalyptus oil in a spray bottle then sprayed around the house especially in the kitchen and the ants left and never came back .👍

I discovered that giving ants a nice big load of honey away from the house keeps them away. Keep them busy elsewhere and they have no reason to forage inside

Fyi.. it's not the type of oil it's the overwhelming scent messing up three pheromone receptors. For ants cinnamon is best as its harsh to their sensitive "antenna"

I tried using peppermint oil and lavender oil to scare away ants.
The ants loved it and invited their friends over for some aroma therapy.

Should try this with different insects. Ants are practically blind and rely on chemicals lead by the leader. Any disturbance in aroma will distress them

better if you dilute it...how do you know it's the actual essence of the herb and not the fact that it's pure super strong and any essential oil would work. you need a control

I have a fire scented oil and I wondered if it keeps bed bugs away, because I'm sick in tired of them treating me like I'm there Buffet table.

For ants I use shot glasses of apple cider vinegar and place them strategically wherever there's ants! 😁
