About the 2nd problem, can I multiply the denominator 3 to the right side 2? So it becomes 2+4x = 6 instead of 2+4x/3 = 2

What if I didn’t convert to fractions and had 4|x-1|<3€ and proved that as 4|x-1|<4d = 4(3€/4)) = 3€. Would that suffice as a proof?
