Just bowing the carbon off the valves.

Just a super simple pump gas 10:3.1 compression SBC 355
My best guess is its about 450hp due to the low compression.
Made 358 WHP and 310 FPT on a Dyno Dynamics Dyno Not much but its still fun to drive.

Is it just me or does it sound like the valve train sounds like two skeletons fookin on a tin roof?

my dad couldn't find a transmission to handle his motor in his 88 Chevy c10, it has a 400 small block with a bore and upgraded cam, and a stall converter, and roller rockers and he can smoke the tires all the way up our road. that 355 is BEAST! you've got a tire eater there, great vid!!!!

Makes me remember my old thrown together 67 Velle. AFR headed 355 with a monster cam. Sounded like a pro mod lol. Went low 11s on motor in my 4 door.

This video is old and the motor is out so suggestions or advice on this build is now irrelevant. But if you stopped by for entertainment enjoy.

This is what I'm talking about, eight cylinders, the crime of a small engine, super powerful and fuel economy.. well done

My father's v8-350 conversion could rip in every gear, the rear end in a S10 is so light it's almost impossible NOT to tear up some tires and pavement with every gear shift! He had to refab the front end just to handle the weight of that engine, I think he had about a half inch of space left at the firewall! He chopped and tubbed the rear end, that thing was crazy! Nice sound, keep tearing it up!

Looking good. Getting these to hook up can be a chore.

This is my favorite v8 s10 video of all time. It’s just so fucking violently powerful with just a 355 with how light the SOB is.

When I was a much younger foolish guy I owned an 85’ S10 so that dashboard and gauges bring back memories

Not bad at all, my wife's old 355 would pull 7500rpm shifts on a regular basis, , , in her 75'Vega with a T5 world class, and 3:80 gears, , fun, fun

I had in 1992 a 1965 Studebaker Commander with a engine I built that was a copy of a 1969 L79 350hp 327 4 bolt main and a 3 on the tree. This video is the closest to what it sounded/acted like. Except it wound to 8500 no problem and didn't miss thanks to the marine ignition I had. I ate up big blocks in stoplight races like you wouldn't believe. The final nail was I was at a light against a 1969 396 Camaro and we launched and I broke a valve spring at 7500 and subsequently a valve and destroyed the whole engine in one instance. Wish I still had that car.

LOL, I thought you going to do the pull in the parking garage! Now that would have been epic!
