I think this is the best build you have done to date. Love the idea that you don't already need an equipped workshop to build it unlike on some other channels. Thanks, Tommy.

Cool build, I like how you included the parts that didn't work so we can better understand how the final design came about. Looking forward to see the final product!

I continue to be amazed at the fine detail you put into the design in this series. I so wish this had been around when my son was in his early teenage years. Building his own equipment would have been really enjoyable for both of us. Thanks, and I'm looking forward to the next video.

You have some serious ingenuity to go with your woodworking skills. Being fairly new to woodworking ( I just started building electric guitars) your videos are very educational as well as entertaining. I could watch you build stuff all day. Thank you for sharing your craft.

I LOVE this series. First of all, the project is extremely cool. Second, I’m grateful that you’ve shared so much of the process with your viewers. Watching you work through a challenge is super educational! Thanks so much!

This has been such a great series. It your Micro Shop is a great idea and I like that you use a lot of easy to find fasteners and common cutting tooling. The whole thing looks great and I can't wait for the next tutorial. Thanks for sharing your idea and skills.

Great work Tommy! I appreciate how you alter the design & tweak things for a better end result. That's a sign of real craftsmanship! 👍👍

This is an amazing project for beginners. I'm planning out my first workbench, and you have so many neat ideas that I want to try out. I really don't have a lot of high end tools, so the fact that you're showing how to do this with mostly basic one's is a great help :)

Whoa... This is amazing. Considering to buy a drill press it seems there are other options as well. Thank you for sharing it

For what it's worth, 3/4 drawer slides are usually made of 2 pieces instead of 3 and usually have much less play. You can also stick them into a wide jaw clamp or vice and tighten them down a little to reduce slop.

This does look very compact and functional. One thing that might help diminish the slop in the slides would be to mount the carriage on a part of the slide that doesn't overhang the other end (the bottom instead of the top). This reduces the leverage, but the cost is the column must be taller to raise the drill the same amount.

I could have used this 40 years ago. I was a brand new father and to say money was tight is an understatement. I just didn't have the smarts to make this. Fun watching you do this.

awesome build - love your ingenuity. What drill are you using from the Harbor Freight? and for that matter other tools. Can you please include their model nos. in the description? Thanks in advance.

Great job.. gives me many ideas for a similar drill press I made from my drill. In 11.24 you show the right way of fixing a Tee Nut, but in 11.34 you are hammering the second one in, which is like a demo of "how not to fix a tee nut", correct?

Thanks for the videos. I am enjoying watching your build. Quick question though. Does the drill press lever not get in the way?
