Amazon Spheres Update!

I went back to the Amazon Spheres in downtown Seattle to check on the progress of the domes. They are looking fantastic! There was some new signage up displaying a few neat facts about the biospheres and the project. For example, I didn't know that the largest of the three connected spheres is 95 feet (29 meters) tall with a diameter of 130 ft (40 meters)! Or that the glass pattern repeats 60 faces per sphere with a total of 180. The pattern is made up of a total of 3,045 panels of glass! I even saw a couple of (what appear to be) tree ferns planted inside one of the domes. I'm really hoping to get the chance to see inside the Spheres when they open in 2018 - keeping my fingers crossed!

Very cool progress! Looks like it's still cold in Washington. We're finally getting warmer weather down here in Oregon - high 60s low 70s. yay!
