Introducing the Cirrus Aircraft Private Pilot Program

Cirrus Aircraft today announced its new, world-class Private Pilot Program designed to teach anyone to learn how to fly an SR Series Cirrus aircraft and earn their pilot’s license. The Private Pilot Program provides an immersive ground school training partnered with a dedicated Cirrus Standardized Instructor Pilot (CSIP) or Cirrus Training Center (CTC) to help students complete their Private Pilot License (PPL) in a Cirrus aircraft.

Wow, almost makes me want to be starting over well, not really. This looks like a great program, all the Cirrus approach courses I've been through are top notch, interesting and worthwhile. I wish this was around when I got my PPL. Great job Cirrus.

Nice vid! My 12-y.o. grandson has shown an interest in flying, so I will look into this Cirrus program.  40 years ago, when in uni, I had got started toward a private licence but never finished (due to starting a family). I read an interesting book some years ago on the development of the first Cirrus and recall the flak the company got for the parachute-- saved some lives now, I see. 👍  BTW, it's via "GA SR22 Pilot" that I'm here. this is how you sell your product! this ceo, hmm, yes, we need to watch him. he may on that glide path to take over an Apple, or Disney.
now, if he can get his engineering teams to further automate a few processes, like switching fuel tanks.
i would love to see more space on the inside planes as an innovation. also an additional safety feature, if all else fails glide for a few 100 miles, catching the thermal waves, lol.

One thing I was looking for in this video, was understanding the path for those who wouldn’t mind getting their pilots license in this plane through this curriculum, but are wanting to further their career to any other ratings past this course. For instance, if one would want to become a commercial pilot in the future, is this a good course to go through for that.

Cirrus SR22 is my dream plane. I’m a 53 year old student with over 100 hours and my own plane (grounded for mag check failure). Guessing I can’t afford it?

haha, take who you want.... 3-4 adults tops, go where you want... depends on weather, luggage, better pack very light... then the million plus cost for the plane...
