NOTE in August 2020, after this was recorded, the ABA amended Rule 1.8, adding a new subsection to 1.8(e) and three new Comments related to it. This amendment to Rule 1.8 resulted in the second half of the Comments to Rule 1.8 to be renumbered (the Comments for all the sections that follow).
