Very nice video. I myself love convex. I'm not very big on scandi unless it's been convexed. They don't seem to hold up. But really I use one knife for wood an for cooking I use my folding knife hollow grind. Steel I'm more along the carbon steel. I'm not so much on stainless for my fixed blades I prefer easy sharpening. I have found after being a mechanic around tools made of tool steel. Rust only happens when you don't use something a long time or don't wipe it down. All sad equipment is job sensitive to. I'm talking with a big brush. This stuff works for me in Maryland. If I move back to Florida stainless might be much more useful. Heat salt air humidity, up north not so much ya know?

Im definitely a convex/sabrevex kinda guy when it comes to a general camp knife. I do like scandis ok, but generally only on smaller blades(<4in) and with a relatively high grind. I just dont find any real advantage to them in use, over a well ground convex. Personally i dont think convex is really any harder to sharpen, if you have some experience, but it is definitely easier to maintain ime.

BRK Wilderness 5 is my current favorite all around camp knife, but the A1 was for ~5 years and loved that as well for different reasons. I do however always bring a Kansbol as a backup/loaner, and sometimes for more delicate food prep but generally not needed. Such a fantastic knife.

My Skrama has also become a must have tool for me down here in Florida. Very little use for an axe, whole lotta use for a blade with some good reach.

So basically i like em all.... Lots of great knives out there.

Some real dogshit as well...
