Well, my boyfriend lives with his mother and we have been together over two years. I asked him last year about moving in together. First he said yes, last minute turned around telling me he cannot leave his mum by herself. This year I asked again, same old. He told me I'm too pushy. After two years! Also he's not living far away, like 20 mins by car. He's only here one day out of the week and I just want to spend more time with him. I feel like I'm single 90% of the time. Finally, i decided i dont want to wait and waste my time anymore and give him the same lack of attention he gives to me. Suddenly, he acts different. New style, new clothes, doesn't call or make an effoet anymore. I suspect something is going on. Today he came over, no kiss, no touching and he didn't bring any change of clothes for the weekend. Got texts all the time and left the minute i said something about the situation. Somethings up. So, looking at all the things going on, i decided I'm going to break up with him. I dont want to waste my time anymore.

Bottom line if he isn’t willing to take the next step. If the goal is to have a life long partnership at some point you need to live together period. If he can’t do that. It’s a deal breaker.

When he said what is it your looking to achieve by living together ?, I’ve asked this many times and concern is having a handyman for odd jobs and an extension of bank account and better property that is not yours or ours but hers lol 🤷‍♂️ will upset many people but just talking from experience, and like having someone special in my life now but knowing there with me for me and not what I can provide, I hope this gives a little clarity for you to help .

I’m irritated I’m going through this left this guy for 4 months came back with so many promises now I’m pregnant a child is involved. Two are better than one. He chooses to stay with his mom because she cries she’s going to struggle but I’m going to struggle with his child. This is distasteful I finally had the courage to walk away pregnant

Yeah I think this person has a lot more soul searching within themselves. Are the projecting an ideal that has been imprinted onto them over many years by society. As ohh "this is what a successful relationship" looks like without taking note of reality and differences, wants and needs of the other person in the relationship as an individual and without respecting one's partner as a unique human being.

If i was her for like a year and we are still going strong, yea id consider living with her. So far ive never made it that far, so why would i live with her right away? Hellll to the naw. I am in a long distance relationship he is residing in the UK and is in Asia for business I am in the south US fully established with a home and involved with a university that wants me to finish for a PhD in medicine I also have property in another state he has asked me to consider relocating to the UK He has 2 kids and I have income for a disability that I would be losing We have not spent any long term time together and it is a internet relationship ! Don't know about living in England what do you think?
