Facts 💯 he’ll faintly say that he doesn’t want a relationship - and he’ll say it only once. Then continue on as if you were in a relationship together. Introducing you to his mother, taking you on movie dates with younger family members etc. But mentally he’s just using you for the assets. There’s no hope in changing that situation into a relationship. There is absolutely no hope! If you stick around he’ll put you through a traumatizing emotional roller coaster, with ups and downs, highs and extreme lows. He’ll embarrass you, devalue you and discard you. Just walk away the first time he says he doesn’t want a relationship. That’s what he means.

I've just had this exact situation happen. I suggested we be actual friends (due to shared hobbies) and he agreed but kept blurring the boundaries and acting sort of datey/flirty. So I thought OK and suggested we give dating a try and again he said he'd prefer to stay friends 'for now' and again was trying to blur the boundaries so I had to end contact. Clear boundaries are so important to avoid these confusing and painful 'situationships.'

Apparently, the "benefit" is just watching TV and eating dinner (which he buys/makes) with me. That's literally all he said he said wants. I'm so over dudes.

What he’s basically saying is men operate pretty simply. Most want to feel comfortable and satisfied. And they’re not always troubled by that pesky emotion of love. So they may be perfectly fine feeling comfortable and satisfied with one woman- but not in love with her. And then he suddenly can Love and feel the need to give another woman everything she wants because he actually does love her and wants to think about her happiness and being a great guy in her life that she can depend on. Do all men do it? No. But a lot of them do.

I got trapped in this he stated friends 1rst then after bed kept reassuring me that I was the only one for him found like 100 messages on Facebook and tinder and other apps bonus DL telling a coworker who is 18 that he is very sorry he couldn't make love to her the dog came home. Mind blown, how his narcissist reaction was to tell me it was my fault for cheating. Please be careful girls some men are not even nice enough to be called animals. Don't know how I missed so many tore up flags but ya he is beyond help
