What’s your secret on sanding the wood filler? Used the 2 part on doors and gaps on face of console and grey lines in the gaps and hole spots. Yours looks perfect

Is there a reason for the table saw blade so high one the initial board rips? (more vertical cutting angle, less tear out, or just left it that way??) Awesome vid, lots of great detail.

By the way I am very happy that I came across this video, I am new to Woodworking and my wife was wanting me to make a media console. After watching many other videos just like this I was starting to feel like I might not be able to do this. You made me feel confident in the fact that even though I do not have all the big Power Tools like a jointer and planer this project is still doable with a circular saw a drill a screw gun and the will to get it done to make your wife happy LOL. Could you have screwed the top boards onto the carcass from underneath? Thought it might have made a cleaner finish.

Well done but had one issue, video said half inch sheets of ply, piece dimensions of (2) 18.75 X 71’, assume this is top and bottom. Shelves are 18.75 X (2) 25 and (2) 23.5. According to video, end shelves are 25 so assume the center would be the 23.5 dimension. If the inside dimension is 71, the two end shelves are 25 each, the remaining center opening is 20 ( 25 + 0.5 + 25 + 0.5 = 51, 71 - 51 = 20) not the remaining piece measuring 23.5. Could you tell me what I’m doing wrong, thank you.

Also, is the front bottom piece that the rail goes onto, did you rip the 2x4 to a 2x2 or 2x3?
