I'd designed a media center a year or so ago that looks pretty much identical to yours and had plans on doing sliding barn doors just like yours. You solved a few of my engineering problems with this video. I'd originally planned on using 1/8" flat bar steel for the top track and door brackets, but I never would have thought to use aluminum - so much easier! Thanks for sharing!

Nice job guys. Great to see young people taking an interest in actually building something. I like the piece. Just did one myself although on a bit higher line. I have a couple of suggestions. ALWAYS wear protective gear. Respirator when painting, gloves, especially when working with acetone, & safety glasses. Your young so if you start now, it will become a habit and you will be much healthier. Also, check the screws you used to hold the track on. If they stick through the back side it could be a problem for potential injury if some one was to reach up in there. Keep up the good work.

Love how you take care with all the little details I find that very important also, beautiful piece, very well made . I'm working on a cabinet for my daughter that will have a sliding barn door . I'm finding the glide and wheels placement more than alittle intimidating .

Love entire build. I'd change the ends of the slider though, don't like the curve to grab anyone passing by. I'd fuse another piece of alum and bolt it to stop the wheel rolling. Just my preference. You guys are totally awesome!!!
