I do like how in the book he fixes his own wand first. I think he should have done that, and then broken it.

"What happened in that courtyard is a complete secret, Harry. So, naturally, everybody knows."

I like that he snapped it, I’m just furious that they left out the part of him going to talk to Dumbledore’s portrait and then fixing his own wand. Cause like we were never told if he got a new wand so now you could assume he ain’t got no wand.

Voldemort's death made more sense in the books. He sought power in the entirety of his life but his death proves that in the end, he was just a man. His death in the books was not grandiose like in the films. He literally just falls down and dies when his spell backfired. In the films, he disintegrates and fades into nothing, making him seem like a divine being and granted him more power than he deserves. Anyway, it's just my opinion tho....

It’s worse, bc he does it w o FIRST fixing his own wand- which is what he does in the book

The book goes into ownership rights on the wand a lot more detailed. If Harry dies of old age then the one won't pass to the Next Generation. Or if it's not claimed by the victor. He's symbolically put the Elder Wand to rest with the greatest Headmaster of Hogwarts.

The bridge scene was a great addition that definitely works better cinematically than the book's version. Voldemort getting dusted by thanos, not so much

Applying Rita Skeeter really strengthened the idea of a gossip coming up

The movie ending was just as stupid.
Heres to having the most powerful wand in history of all wands: LETS BREAK IT! theres no broken castle that neess fixing. there are no injured people in that castle. Let's just break it and help no one with it first.

Twist:
Harry broke a fake wand, and kept the real one, making him have all 3 hallows thus leading him to be the master of death :)

Harry's gonna be like: "I died once and killed Voldemort twice before I even finished wizard high school, do you really want to try your luck with me?"

If I remember correctly, harry told everyone he was the true owner of the elder wand but said he would return it to where it belongs. Even if everyone knew where it was they would have to kill harry, then take the wand from Dumbledore's grave. If they knew that's where it was.

i don't think the elder wand could've been snapped, it is the most powerful wand in the wizarding world and people who tried to end it's curse might've tried before

In the movie he throws it without the hall's knowledge. So they will hunt him anyways. Atleast in book he repairs his own wand first.

I know it’s not just me, but I fuse the movies and books together and remember which one I want, like I remember him breaking the elder wand, but after he fixed his own, I remember all the hinny and romione stuff from the movies, I refuse to accept the fact that Fred died, you know the usual stuff

1. The ending in the books was INIFINITELY better, and the books explained why he chose to do that. Also the Battle of Hogwarts was so much better in the books

Harry is the owner of the wand and to be the next owner you need to kill or take it with force from the owner. Meaning that the wand belongs to Harry and of someone takes it from the grave he isn't the owner so can't use it.

The books one made a lot of sense. Showed how Harry Potter understood small details, kept his respect for Dumbledore and only the three Hermione, Ron and him knew where the wand was and to get it's true power you would have to defeat Harry.

Quick way to see what's wrong with this. The courtyard scene never happened in the books as it was an active battle and no one was really watching them as the fact that they were FIGHTING FOR THEIR LIVES.

What I wish had happened is that Harry snapped the wand and laid it in the grave with dumbeldore it's basically impossible to mend a broken wand (and I could only really see the elder want mending broken wands) so that would be a safe, still symbolic end for the bloody thing
