N47 cheap ebay vs OEM crank pulleys

Here is a short video showing why it isn't a good idea to buy a cheap (£50) crankshaft pulley for your N47 BMW. When fitted to the car the pulley made the Aux belt jump around all over the place and the tensioner to bounce. There isn't any flex in the cheap pulley where there should be. I do not advise fitting one of these pulleys, it could damage your belt, waterpump or tensioners causing a breakdown or worse.

Sorry but I bought the one from ebay for 150 bucks and have done 50 000kms on it with no issues and it was aftermarket, brand new OEM one is 900bucks which is fucking rediculous. My car is stage 2 tuned as well. As long your belt is genuine, everything should be fine.
When this pulley goes, it's good idea to replace the belt and tensioner. Belt and tensioner are not expensive.

I’ve just had this problem
Paid out £80 off eBay and my tensioner was wobbling about all over the place .. I’ve just ordered from BMW and it’s cost me £430 with new Bolts .. buy cheap pay twice 😂
