I leave for basic in 6 days, although I'm pretty nervous I can't wait to experience it & become a better me. (UPDATE): Finally graduated BCT a few days ago, I am now in Arizona for AIT.
(UPDATE #2): Done with AIT, too easy. Graduated damn near top of my class. Off to airborne.
(Update 3): Finished airborne a while ago, now to wait out my contract lol. It’s all relatively easy just do the right shit at the right time in the right uniform.
(Update 4): I have maybe like, 18 months until the end of my contract? Roughly? Time flies in the 82nd.

My son went to basic training 3 days out of highschool. Spent a total of almost 17 years in. Couldbt be more proud of him and the army as a whole unit

Joining the US Army was the best thing I’ve ever done in my life. I will never regret it and never forget it🇺🇸👍🏽.

I've already passed the ASVAB test and I'm going to boot camp next month. I'm excited and scared at the same time because I'm leaving my 2 year old daughter but I know it's for the best for her. God in charge. I have this YouTube channel but when I get back I'm going to think about creating one just to talk about my experiences in the National Guard. I’m ready to go yeah ❤😂

Thanks for sharing these. I have a son and daughter in the military and this gives me a little bit of an idea of what they went through in basic. Keep them coming I'm hooked 😂

My granddaughter is in training! It is grueling, but that is what is needed to build up physical endurance and a strong, confident mindset.

My youngest is two weeks in she left one week after graduation. I was so nervous at first. I would say I'm the most proudest mother ever. From these two weeks, I can hear the growth, confidence, and structure that it has given her already. I am very grateful for her decision 🙏🏾 💕

Very glad for their dedication to join the military family, striving together, training together, and having each other's back no matter what . Best family ever.
Shaves the scalp, exercises, pushes limits, goes through obstacles, goes through the gas chamber, takes apart artillery, and learns to shoot, Marches together, and strives as a family.
Very glad for their oppertunities, stay strong warriors !

I graduated basic Feb 2018. Still the best 10 weeks of my life that I’ll never want to do again 😂

I went to basic in 1979, scared to death. I was in the last OSUT unit at Ft Gordon. I went from being a civilian executive secretary to the Distinguished Honor graduate! I proudly wear my veteran t shirts. Best part: when I came home and saw my dad's face! And then watching him trying to pick up his 5'3" soldier daughter's full duffle bag!!❤. Proud to be a US Army Veteran! ❤️🇺🇸 Keep it strong!

I hope that maybe one day after high school this could be my path, both for college and personal experience and growth to the mind, I feel it would expose me to conditions that I wouldn’t experience otherwise and it’ll help me become more prepared and responsible for life as an adult with expectations and goals to accomplish.
