Really this country doesn't talk about all the bad things white people did??? Cause from what I remember back in school we constantly talked about slavery, the trail of tears, the inquisitions, Salem which trials, etc. It's almost like people these days just take information they here and read from school, history books, and TV and then repeat everything they hear as if it was their own opinion. Also yes this country talks a lot about the great things we did all the time but so does every other country that has done horrible acts; I mean it's not like China, Japan, Mongolia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Russia all just sit there kicking themselves in the back and never talk about the good things that they've done so why should we?

Why are there so many dislikes on this video? This is the truth of another race of people. The truth about what happened to the Indigenous people in America. We are taught a different side of the history of this country, the side that most schools don't teach. Whether or not people like it, it is the truth. It's the real history.

Both sides of my family came here during the Ellis Island Era. One side from Hungary and one from Ireland. Not only do I have nothing to do with the settlers but neither did my ancestors. But no, lecture me on how I’m a conquering monster for sharing their complexion

I am Native American myself and I have been on the reservation many times. Well it’s true that white people did some horrific things in the the past. We can not dwell on it. I’m going to guess that this guy was born in sometime in the mid to late 90s. So he has nothing to say about oppression. He did not experience it; the residential school, the huntings, and the mass killings. Many of his ancestors did of course but he can’t speak like he experienced it firsthand. My grandmother and grandfather were forced into residential schools before they were teenagers and experienced horrific abuse. Just because I come from a people that experienced systemic racism and discrimination doesn’t mean that I do today. In fact I actually have a few privileges because of it. Yes racism still exists and it will probably continue to exist unfortunately. But you generalizing all white people as racists does not help eliminate the case but just adds more gasoline to the fire. Most people today don’t think Natives as inferior savage beings and I have been around a lot. It’s just a small minority of people that do and you’re choosing to focus all your energy on them, which gives them more power. If you keep telling someone that they are racist then eventually many will live to that expectation.

"what about the bad things, when they tried to get rid of us?" I got taught that in all my history classes. We had a whole week addressing the travesties against Native Americans. I get it.
