I have several disabilities, but I refuse to see myself as “disabled.” I’m a grown man who just happens to have some health issues, as does everyone else. I grew up poor but my mother was so creative with money, we got by. My parents never talked about finances and I thought we were rich because I was taught to sew my own clothes (which were “beautiful original creations), crochet, cook, clean and all five of us siblings were told we could be anything with work and education.
There was always love and laughter in my home.
Black or white or in between, you can overcome ANYTHING in America.
Thank the good Lord for Thomas Sowell who brings truth to light…and other men and women like him who speak hard truths when it’s easier to lie- like Al Sharpton.

My husband and I just watched Anarchy USA on the Uncle Tom channel. It was truly eye opening. The black community is being used again and refuse to see the truth on Marxism. 😢

The only time that I hear that black people cannot make it is from other black people. I sell insurance. I do taxes as an affiliate. I even do ride sharing. I see from selling insurance where eventually I am going to make it. I was even a cable contractor, and I got paid per job. I made more than I did when I worked for the cable provider. I see that I can make it. My fellow brothers and sisters tell me that I can’t. All while not supporting my business.

That pretty much sums up human nature. We all have our weaknesses (handicaps) and strengths (privileges). There's no way around it, and we must stop fooling ourselves into thinking that skin color is what defines your talents.

Despite his utter lack of speed, Lombardi was a good enough catcher to eventually be selected to thr Hall of Fame. And the record shows he wasn't a bad selection.

He was able to overcome his liabilities and as far as I am aware, he never used his lack of speed as an excuse.

I worked with a number of black "losers" who were deputy police chiefs, CPAs, attorneys, managers, IT managers, accountants, finance directors etc. Someone didn't tell them they had no hope in America and were consigned to 2nd class status.
