I'll never understand why people would hike up to enjoy the beauty of the view and then leave trash behind, thanks for taking it back down with you.

What I find amazing about these hikes you take is a lot of the tracks and roads you wander are hundreds of years old! Imagine the folk whose footsteps you are following! Fabulous!❤❤

Enjoyed sharing this walk with you Henry - my hiking days are over due to age and a very dodgy knee but I did that walk a few years ago when fitter and younger!

Awesome, Used to love plodding up "The Old Man of Coniston" on trips to Thurston when I was young, never heard it referred to as "Coniston, Old Man" before.

The beautiful and simplistic life of enjoying the lakes, fells and amazing scenery everywhere...to the utter chaos of modern life with endless supermarket clubcards on a mobile device, got to laugh, love the lakes and this you tube channel 😀

Thanks Henry another informative video about the walk you were taking, the car parking in the lakes is scandulous to say the least. really nice images, i especially like the shot you took while having your 1st food break

Tesco meal deal and a soggy sock, can only be another Henry Turner video.😂
Your Seathwaite Tarn square crop looks great Henry, that was worth the car park fee on it's own. Top man for taking that can back down.
I am always forgetting to take off the timer after using tripod..

Thanks for another great Wainwright photography day out.

You have remarkable restraint. If I did that hike I'd return home with about 1000 photos, and probably not make it back til some time after dark.

Most cameras allow you to shoot into the "extended" ISO range - Olympus has 2 stops on each side of their "native" ISO range - on the low side, it gives you an interpolated ISO100 and ISO64. But the tradeoff is that you lose a little dynamic range with you go into that area. Another thing that's fun to play with: if your camera has pixel shifting (on Olympus it's the "High Res Shot" function), you can get the blur in your water at a higher shutter speed than you think. Your camera is taking 8+ images at your default exposure then combining for a higher resolution image - the side benefit to this mode is that it will virtually eliminate any noise in the image and give you a longer exposure - think of 8 shots at 1/60th of a second, means that the combined image is 8/60th, or 1/8th second (and Olympus will give you a pin sharp image at that speed without batting an eye).

Cheers Henry, it’s Sean in Atlanta! This area is breathtaking! You are so fortunate to live and hike there! I’m in love with the mountains there!
I’m actually watching you on my phone and my TV at the same time and I’m getting whiplash!😂

Thanks for another trip up the fells and some great photos Henry. We buckled and now pay a tenner a month to be National Trust members, so we try to stick to their car parks when we can. If we only use them once a month we get our moneys worth.

Cracking shot. I’ve used that feature on my Nikon D850, it’s really useful for situations like you found yourself in. I also found noise was reduced the when using these lower ISO settings.

Henry check out the Ruskin Museum in Coniston for the history of mining in the area, and as a bonus the real rebuilt Bluebird is housed there, great vid as always.
