The 14th edition of Aero India witnessed a special entry of US-made F-35 Lightning II and F-35A Joint Strike Fighter. F-35 Lightning II is considered to be one of the most advanced fighter jets in the world. F35 is a single-engine multirole combat aircraft available in three variants, F-35A, F-35B, and F-35CWith stealth design, the F-35 has an unmatched ability to evade enemy detection and enter contested airspace. The F-35 carries weapons internally in a stealth configuration, or externally in permissible environments with greater than 18,000 pounds of total ordinance. It has a speed of Mach 1.6 (1.6 times the speed of the sound) and is a long-range, supersonic fighter. The F35 fighter has a range of over 2,100 km.
