The parents and Parker Posey were the best part of it - it had many moments where I genuinely laughed out loud at something which has been super rare for me lately but the generic story and the 2 son characters really kept it from being better.

I really enjoyed this movie. I’d watch again. Josh was HOT, Lisa Kudrow brought her usual wit, and even the initially unlikable mom won me over with her redemption arc, and the demon bird was cool... It’s not flawless, but it kept me entertained the whole way through. What stood out to me was that every character held their own (no weak links or annoying roles that made me want to skip scenes). Honestly, I don’t get the hate, it’s far from horrible and way better than most give it credit for.

I'm in the minority, but I actually enjoyed this movie. It was pretty basic, but I found it funny! However, my husband often jokes that my taste in movies can range from teenage boy to PhD. scholar, so there's that.
