The painful events of 2020 made it clear that racial injustice and health disparities continue to persist in our society and that many deep wounds remain unhealed. As we move forward, we all need to commit to driving continued change through respect, empathy and gaining diverse perspectives to better comprehend the unique experiences of each other. At Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan this meant immediately and intentionally bringing together our colleagues to acknowledge what was happening in our communities and then reiterating our deep commitment to inclusion and diversity.
