this book one of the best books I've ever read and I don't say that lightly. beautiful easy flowing writing, and characters that feel alive and grow and change with the story. The friendship between the main girls was epic and going much further than I expected it to go (I thought at first they'd end up hating each other because that's how things usually go in these types of books with a pretty friend). The plot had the feel of a legend in motion, with fairy tale magic like a disney movie, the romance developed well, they didn't just look at each other and be star-cross lovers, it felt real and was funny and you could see them slowly growing to care about each other. Throughout the book the main character was independent and didn't rely on others to solve problems, she takes action for change and makes her own path right to very end. It's also sometimes sad, sometimes creepy, sometimes bloody, sometimes thrilling, I really can't express how fantastic I think this book is, so be open-minded and ready for an adventure upon reading it!

I really enjoyed the way the magic worked in this book. Made for a lot of fun and interesting reading. Also high fives all around strong female friendships. The ladies kick butt and it's awesome!

i bought this book because i fell in love with the cover (the paperback has gold foiling-type things on it) and have been desperately waiting for my exams to be over so i can read it! so glad you enjoyed it, makes me even more excited now!

Okay, okay, okay. Based very loose in Beauty and the Beast, a protagonist similar to Mr. Darcy and friendship? Actual friendship?!! And thrilling action? This was already in my wish list from the moment you mentioned when you bought it but now. It is a compulsory near future read. Thanks Sam! P.S. Throughout the video, I couldn't stop thinking that you're talking about this booo the way you talked about Night Circus - and that sounds amazing to me!
I highly doubt this is as much as an ambiance and character driven book as Night Circus is, but there is something that makes me think they have some similarities and that is making me even more excited to read it than I was before!
I have already seen some amazing reviews, but the fact that you love it as well proved to me that I'm (most likely) going to love it just as much!

I loved this book!!!
It was amazing and I loved Neskia so much, she was so amazing and flawed and human and I could relate so much of just bursting in laughter in the most inappropriate moments.
And the romance was splendid and wonderful and ever time she made him want to slap himself i was a giddy mess.

I also loved the focus on the friendship, but I wish they had more dialogue. I know they loved each other but I really wish Ketsia talked more, she was very active, but she didn´t say much and I couldn´t really form a bond with her, but aside from that, this book was great :D

I'm such a huge fan of the sassy banter relationships too, and I have apparently been living under a rock or something because I haven't heard of this book. I think that I would really like the fast paced plot, because I love the constant build of action too! This book sounds so good.

Uprooted definitely reminded me of Spindle's End by Robin McKinnley, which is a great thing (as Spindle's End is my favorite fairy tale retelling.) I cannot wait for the video where you gush about this book. I'm already a huge fan, so it'll be fun to watch.

I loved the book because it was so different. You could never tell what would happen next, Agnieszka was lovely despite being so clumsy and her magic totally got me. And then the love story between her and the dragon was crazy, not the main plot of the book, but still so catching.
Read this book 3 times already, still love it
