It's the parents fault in these types of cases.

As a user myself it's really not that hard to lock these up somewhere, Just bad parenting in my opinion.

The parents need to be charged in these cases. It’s the same with alcohol, guns, and pornographic movies. Parents need to be responsible and accountable

Make the edibles look like broccoli, kids will avoid it like the plague!

Good thing it isn't toxic and never kills unlike fentanyl. Irresponsible parents have always been a problem. My niece ate Comet and did need the hospital.

I have cats and I make sure there is nothing around that can harm them. Certainly parents can do that for their children.

Let’s start talking about the children who get their hands on parents pills. Last time I checked, zero people die a year from weed. While 100s of thousands of people die a year from pill overdoses.

I remember as kid accidentally drinking my parents alcohol as well. Fun time

3/4 of children who ate edibles had no need for hospital admission? Fascinating.

Don’t blame this problem on the legalization of marijuana. That’s completely the parents fault for their lack of responsibility. It’s not that hard to keep things out and away from children.

As a medical marijuana patient aka pothead. This is 100% an adults fault. My stuff stays put up and when I'm not at home and my kids are it comes with me. Pretty cut and dry

Why don't they act like they have a pair of balls and say how many children under five have died not wound up in the hospital but died of all the illegal illegal illegal fentanyl crossing our border.... The key factor is no body died of marijuana. And yes it is the parents fault.

Kids also eat laundry and dishwasher detergent pods. The problem is not simply because the “edibles” look enticing -- it’s because their parents are too stupid to understand that they should be stored properly.

Bad parenting is bad. Common sense is that you keep 1) all drugs, 2) all chemicals, 3) all weapons/tools (knives, saws, guns) and 4) anything expensive or that you love, out of the reach of children. I'm sure there are some teens that 'didn't know' (its what I would have said when caught too) but for single digit ages? That is entirely parents that need to up their game.

Remember when the news came out with a story every time a teenager got into their parent's liquor cabinet? Yeah me neither.
