Christian Bale himself had said, Robert is a great choice and advised him to ignore what critics say.

The most underrated part of the movie is the sound design. The ominous menacing walk of Batman coming out of shadows, the engine of Batmobile roaring in the middle of street is just work of art.

As a batman fan, this was the first movie where they showed Batman as a detective and before the fancy gadgets, fancy car and before Lucius Fox. This was amazing, as he had to plan his fights and attacks.

Would highly recommend people to watch Se7en, Prisoners, and Zodiac before watching The Batman. The director Matt Reeves has payed homage to these cult detective classics emphasizing that this is the first detective live-action batman movie.

In this movie you can actually feel the city Gotham. Whereas in Nolan’s movie it felt like Batman is in Newyork.

The build up to Batman's entry made me fall in love with the movie. Also the cinematography in this movie is class. People are used to quick action, jokes almost same story line in Superhero movies. This movie is for the people who understand, know and love "Cinema"

The most comicbook accurate movie in DC. Props to Reeves, Pattinson and Turturro for giving us such a tremendous story

I believe The Batman will spark a very important discussion regarding film criticism.
I read a review on Rotten Tomatoes by a professional critic that calls this movie 'humorless'. My question is, so? How is that a criticism and not a choice of the film's tone?
Also, we cannot criticize a movie as 'too fast' or 'too slow' without any context. I have seen people have a single line critique, like, 'Blade Runner 2049 is too slow', again, how is that a critique?

I feel Martin Scorsese was right when he called MCU movies as Amusement Park movies and not cinema. I saw people complain about The Batman not having full blown action of sorts, and instead being a 3 hour detective movie.

We've become addicts to these superhero tropes of the third act of films being blind fighting and skybeams and just metal clanking 20 times per second, that we have forgotten movies altogether.

I think for hardcore Batman fans like us, there couldn’t have been a better Batman movie. The characterisation of the year 2 Batman and Bruce Wayne is perfect. I loved all of it. The pacing was a minor issue for me but I can easily ignore it because it justifies its runtime. I believe the length can be the only turn off for mainstream audiences but I’m really happy that Matt Reeves didn’t compromise on his vision to cater to Non-Batman fans. Robert Pattinson is hands down the best Batman but the best Bruce Wayne is still Christian Bale for me.

I absolutely loved this movie. the biggest takeaway for me was, that this was a movie, it Felt like a movie of its own. it did not have the stereotypical superhero movie sequencing or tropes, and had just absolutely gorgeous cinematography. as for the length, I do feel that they could have chopped half an hour or 20 mins, but in the end it paid off. Robert Pattinson is my batman

People often fight for "who's the best batman". Can't we all just appreciate that different directors shown different variations of the knight, each of which was impressive on their own environment? (Yes, I include Adam West)

Pattinson has completely done justice to the caped crusader. The dark tone of the movie perfectly captures the Gotham that is in shambles…loved the performance, specially by the Riddler…although he had less screen time and too good..

I also had preconceived notions about Robert's acting but his movie 'Good Time' changed my mind for good. Since then he has impressed us with stellar performances in Lighthouse & now in The Batman.

People who have seen Robert Pattinson's acting skills in The lighthouse or in Good Time already knew he is going to be the best Batman ever. It's sad to see that some people still criticize him for his role in Twilight.

Robert Pattinson didn't deserve to be disregarded like that. He 100% proved himself as Batman.

to me, what made Pattinson's Batman so special is that batsuit isn't his mask, but it's the Bruce Wayne.

After years and years of some awesome Batman films, it feel like we finally got the definitive version of the character that's totally inherent of the psychological aspects of it. The best thing was how it represented Gotham, like some kind of diseased substance slowly poisoning the very integrity of the law and order of the place and how it takes a toll on its inhabitants.

Couldn't have asked for a more apt Batman movie. Reeves just nailed it with the character arc.
