Satechi is releasing a usb hub/dongle for the new MacBook Pro this month. It won’t have a wire, or block any of the ports. It has usb-c, usb-a, Ethernet, and headphone jack.

To add to your list if anyone wants to buy an empty TB enclosure to use their own blades, based on a Kevin Ross YouTube test, I've purchased a Fledging TB-only enclosure and an Acasis TB/USB enclosure for my 16" MBP Max. I've put WD Black SN750 1TB and 2TB blades in that I had in my Mac Pro to test. The read and write speeds for the 1TB blade are both 2, 700+, but with the 2TB blade the write speeds drop to 1, 200+- (the read speeds are still around 2, 700). For now I'm using the 1TB enclosure for video editing scratch disk use where I need the fastest write speeds, and the 2TB for the video clips in editing. It's a screamingly fast combination with the MBP Max.

Very much grateful for your video! I’ve used your link to pick up a few of your recommendations for my 14” hopefully being delivered late Jan. Just when I thought I made it through the Spec’ing-out obstacle course, I’m confronted with determining the best option for external storage: QLC vs TLC Flash. There are mixed reviews when comparing both. It is also interesting that the Sabrent Rocket TLC costs $50 more than the QLC version on Amazon. Can anyone provide input?Usage: storing and accessing video games like WoW, STEAM stuff, archiving large statistical data files, archiving music and years of photos.
