History Brief: Al Capone and Organized Crime

A brief look at the life of Al Capone, as well as some information regarding the G-Men, and the FBI's effort to put a damper on organized crime during the years of prohibition.

We all admit that prohibition made the inherent problems associated with alcohol worse, propped up criminal agencies, and drove the crime rate higher. We think “We learned a lesson, admitted our failure, and reversed course.”

Then we do the exact same thing with the drug war. Same arguments as alcohol prohibition, the same failures, and the same outcomes. It’s lunacy.
