Right; an example, in Luke 7:35 Jesus's "the children of wisdom" is a typical Socrates' teaching

The Greeks plagiarized and were influenced by Egypt, Mesopotamia and other more ancient civilizations.
Most of the surviving Greek writings of homer don’t predate the gospels. They are modern copies of copies .

The Odyssey and Iliad are massively long epics that each consolidate and likely represent the bulk of the oral poetic tradition of pre-literate Greek society. They are not the work of one person in the sense that the Aeneid is, for example. They are the product of centuries of oral story telling. As such, they cover a broad range of topics and themes, and you could likely make many real events "fit" events in the the Homeric epics simply because the Homeric epics cover so much ground. One could easily claim, for example, the Alexander was modeled after Achilles, and Hephaestion was simply an invention to represent Patroclus. In actuality, I don't see any indication of a strong motive for first century hellenized Jews to enter into a dialogue with Homeric values by creating fictional narratives.

Zeus often took mortal consorts in Homeric tradition, the motif crept into Christian theology. An analysis of the concept of Immaculate Conception, as it may have been accepted in the ancient world, might satisfy my quandary.

The good doctor seems to not have been clued in to the likelihood of the Gospels, at least Mark, having Julian origins or influences other than Luke-Acts based on Virgil's Aenaeas. All he has to do is read what John Dominic Crossan has written about Caesar versus Christ, and Francesco Carotta's Was Jesus Caesar?

But it doesn't matter. The gatekeepers will reject what isn't in line with their ideas of Christian origins: that there was an historical Jesus who started Christianity, and that the gospels are mostly accurate. 🤷‍♂️

This could have gone an hour or two. Get him back, if he has more to say?

It seems they emulated some style from Homer, but that was expected from hellenist writers. I don't see plagiarization here.

This is just like Genesis 1 and Genesis 2.

Crazy that most people can't see the difference between Genesis 1 God (Elohim/Theos) and Genesis 2 Devil (Yahweh/Kurios).
