Cardo Freecom+ Bluetooth Headsets Review
Cardo Freecom 1+ Bluetooth Headset
Cardo Freecom 2+ Bluetooth Headset
Cardo Freecom 4+ Bluetooth Headset

Looking to get some directions, listen to music, and talk to other riders? Consider Cardo’s Freecom+ series. The line includes three different units at three different price points based on their features. The Freecom 1+ is for pairing to your phone or talking to your passenger. (The 1+ cannot reach riders on other bikes.) The Freecom 2+ will connect you to your phone and one other rider on another bike. And the Freecom 4+ connects to your phone plus three other riders for a total of four on one channel. Upgrade to JBL speakers for better sound quality (included with the 4+).

I have the 4+ and it works fantastic. I rode in 2 days of solid rain, and had zero issues. The voice commands work great. My only issue is when wearing a leather jacket, and head checking to the left, the knob gets turned on my jacket and the volume increases. Not a huge deal, but a little annoying. Would surely purchase again!

I have been using the 1+ for about 6 months. Works great. To answer the phone you just scream "hey" it works most of the time. I can still hear my music while having my ear protection. The radio isn't really good. I use my spotify.

Thank you Cardo for making a more affordable "Pack Talk"... I wanted the JBL speakers but didn't want to spent that much cash. Now the Freedom 4 is the solution. . . Nice Job.

Great video, been looking to replace my old BT set, Only really use it for music and navigation while traveling! Really considering the 1+

FYI the JBL speakers are slightly larger than the typical ones you get with other Cardo and Sena units. I had to "downgrade" to regular freecom speakers when I bought the freecom 4+. I do have another helmet that fits them fortunately.

My buddy and I just got the freecom 4+ duo last week. AMA folks. I’ll try to answer best I can though I’m still learning it.

My mind read the title as "Gordon Freeman bluetooth headsets". Wonder if those would be muted per default.

I've got the Freecom 4+, and the JBL 45mm speakers. The 40mm speakers work great, and the 45mm are even better.
The only downside and disappointment I got is that the the Freecom 4+ DOES NOT support the sound profiles that comes with the 45mm package.
The 45mm package comes with a code (as mentioned the video), but if you own a Freecom 4+ you don't have the option (and you don't need it as far as I know) to input this code in the Cardo application (Android).
I ride with a Bell MX9 helmet (no visor edition). And although its a really loud helmet, the sound is still pretty good.
You can get a whole lot more from the 45mm speakers if connected to a headphone amplifier with proper DAC. I suspect using the bass profile (only available for PACTALK models) could really bring the speakers to a whole new level for me, unfortunately I can't really know unless I upgrade.

Overall, good system in my opinion.

On the fence about the 1+ or 2+ to buy, The user of it mostly rides alone but primarily will need to listen to music and answer the phone

Good review. I'm happy with my Freecom 2+ but the music sharing feature is pretty bad. They've even replaced my units, same problem music lags when sharing, works fine when not sharing. Cardo customer service is pretty poor.

Based on the comments of people who bought these gadgets its pretty clear there is more engineering to be done.

quality is ok
Today i had the time to mount it in my helmet, replacing the 35€ Chinese com, but as i tryed it out, well, no difference
I honestly thought that the Cardo name is one of the top products but i see that for this price it is not
My Chinese Mornystar M3 for 35€ is better
Even controles are more friendly to moto gloves
M3 has pause button, 2+ does not
M3 has easy Radio connection with one button only
M3 has shuffle option, 2+ just skips music....

Sadly, i can not recommend this over cheap Chinese coms

Is there much difference in sound quality on music between these two sets?

Why don't they just use a cellular signal then range won't matter for those prices.. and if you want more riders use a conference call type system? 🤷🏾‍♂️

Would the freecom 1 rider be able to pair with a rider using the card pack talks?

About the 4+, the natural voice command don't work "superb", it's crap.
I tried everything, but it mostly does not work

I was thinking about just getting the Cardo Freecom 1+ and use it on discord if riding with other riders that way you get any range you want

My ridding buddy has a Sena 30k unit. Can I pair the Freecom 2+ and 4+ to his Sena unit for intercom between the two?

Can you link a 2+ and a 4+? Assuming yes but would like to be sure before I were to buy them.
