Should Christians Seek Mary's Intercession?

Why did Jesus rebuke the woman who praised Mary in Luke 11:27-28, and instead making it seem like he was minimizing Mary?

"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me", John 14:6

We can never love Mary as much as Jesus does

1 Timothy 2:5, which reads: "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus."

He probably meant that you shouldn't bless her merely because she is his mother but because she observed and kept the Word Of God

Your channel is helping me grow in my Catholic faith and for this I am grateful. Praise Jesus!

I love how He said: "Let´s settle this once and for all" as if he had any authority to say what we can and cannot.... But then he (most probably) rejects pope and catholic´s church´s dogmas that are instituted just for theese, to settle things once and for all (By people with authority and God´s given wisdom and surety, they will not make a mistake in defining what is true and what is not)

All I have to say is this: I have prayed to Jesus directly and he answered my prayers. I have undeniable proof this happened. I have never asked Mary. But I understand where Catholics come from. Jesus always hears us and is with us. Amen ❤

To answer the question, NO, we shouldn’t pray to Mary.

Nope, their arrogance causes them to misinterpret the whole thing. As if Jesus would violate the commandments and disparage His mom.

No one comes to the Father except through *ME* - Jesus Christ.

We should not pray to Mary...we get to the Father through Jesus Christ and not His mother

Yeah I made this point to a protestant on Jesus turning the compliment into something more for blessed mother Mary, and they weren't having it. People will sit in their pride and self righteousness in order to validate their own beliefs. May they see the errors of their ways🙏

He does not say on the "contrary". He says more than that blessed are the people who here the word of good.

So we are blessed. The ones who hear gods call. But, we don’t not praise one another for it. We give all glory to God for using us and being able to let us see. May god BLESS you ALL and you give him all the glory ❤️

Jesus says "blessed rather is the one who hears the word of the lord and obeys it."
The subject is on His mother. He is speaking about Mary.
This is due to her devotion to God's word, even after knowing she was going to carry the Messiah.
She didnt HAVE to give a sin offering after the birth of Jesus. The Messiah was already here. So why did she!? Because she is the favored one who loves and obeys God fully. She followed the Law given by Moses from God in Leviticus because she was completely obedient to God.
Being completely obedient to God is something all other people fall short of.
Our venerable Lady, pray for us!

In Luke 11:28, the word "rather" is translated from the Greek μενοῦνγε (menounge). But menounge doesn't always mean "rather." It can also be used as an affirmative exclamation. For example, in Romans 10:18 we read:

"But I ask, have they not heard? Indeed (menounge) they have, for 'Their voice has gone out to all the earth, and their words to the ends of the world.'”

And again in Philippians 3:8:

"Indeed (menounge), I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord."

Therefore, it's perfectly acceptable to translate Jesus' words in Luke 11:28 as something like, "Indeed, and blessed are those who (like my mother) hear the word of God and keep it."

Jesus, then, far from denying the blessedness of his mother, is actually clarifying precisely WHY she is so blessed. Mary is one who hears the word of God and keeps it.

"And Mary said, 'Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.' (Luke 1:38).
