I’m not dumping on him at all seeing as I admire the man BUT, … do people not realise that this is what 90% of singer/songwriters do now? Play the guitar part, a bass part, throw in some finger drumming, maybe add some chords on the keys and then slap on a few layers of vocals. This is how most musicians come up with ideas and record their own demos. Some are good enough at mixing to be able to release it to a streaming platform but others aren’t. Either way, it’s the same process.
People act like it the pinnacle of “talent” when it’s actually just the norm in the music world.
