I'm very high but it amazes me that you will be studied fifty or a hundred years from now and we are knowing you alive

It’s tradition to come back to Jacob’s old videos

Non professionals will be impressed by Jacob because of how good it sounds. Professionals will be even more impressed because they know how advanced this is. That's the power of bringing skills into popular music that will truly improve public appreciation of good music

6 years later, an observation: the number of people who complain that his arrangements are "too busy" or "too much" are dwindling. Like any consummate genius whose work shatters all existing precedent, there is initial backlash because people aren't ready for one individual to catapult a discipline so far forward so quickly. But eventually as he continues to produce, people begin to accept it because all of a sudden he has made it real and possible. I am invigorated every day just to be alive at the same time as this guy and to know he's just getting started

This guy surpasses prodigy. Everyone knows a “prodigy pianist” or “prodigy violinist” but this guy surpasses the limitations of instruments. Jacob is brilliant at music itself.

2020. Only discovered Jacob a few months ago. I've had to wire my jaw shut whilst listening to his arrangements. I read with interest here the opposing views of 'genius' and 'too busy', and also the lack of original writing. All very valid points, for now.
However, in my 50 years listening to music I've seen many artists grow across their careers to a point where they achieve this level of technical literally decades of experience.
I would just like to remind everyone that this gentleman was producing music to this standard when he was just 19...

19.

Just imagine what is to come.

Greetings from Ireland.

People not believing the genuine talent of Jacob is testement to his brilliance but his followers; Quincy Jones, Herbie Hancock, Pat Metheny, Chick Corea, Steve Vai, to name a few, cant all be wrong. haters gonna hate, musicians gonna listen.

I wish I had enough hats to lay down for this man...

10 years ago this man singlehandedly destroyed the idea that my generation lacks musical talent or intelligence. Thank you for that and for so much more, Jacob.

I must have been living under a rock. This has been around for 8 years and I only just discovered it. Him. I cried.

Usually when someone does a cover, it's NOT as good (and - why????), but this guy has taken "Don't You Worry 'Bout a Thing" to another level. This dude is the REAL. DEAL. Yes, there is some enhanced bass/coupling, but this guy IS doing everything else. He can't do all this LIVE, but I can EASILY believe he can gig with anyone on practically any instrument. it doesn't at all sound robotic; there is lucidity and -it's FUN. I'm a musician, too, and whereas I've turned a couple shades of green, I'm NOT a hater, and respect the hell out of Jacob. EXcellent job.

After 7 years, we can see that Jacob is that contrary pendulum swing that music needs.
Inner complexity, outer simplicity, and most important, infinite imagination.
