I looked at this streak, and he performed like Buzzy's first 5 games, crossing $100k and winning average $20, 000 per game. His Game 3 low score almost corresponded with Buzzy's

The clue was a little clunky, IMHO. I've seen both and am a fan of the genre, but I guess I failed to work backwards from popular HBO shows. A lot of those actors are well-known for playing archetypes in the genre, so I guess it should have been more obvious to me.

First I thought of was Fame, but 1990 seemed a little late. It was - Fame the movie came out in 1980, the series in 1982. Ah well....

the TV show popped into my head straight away. the movie, not so much. i've now realised that despite thinking I've seen it, i now can't remember one thing about it. it's on the 'to watch' list 😂

Goodfellas is the answer the cast would later appear in Sopranos, The Godfather, and later in Gotti where Castellano gets murdered.

Fun fact: Mark Fitzpatrick is the first season 41 champion to solidify his spot in the Tournament of Champions!
It's also worth noting that the last time a champion secured a spot in the Tournament of Champions after defeating a 4 game champion was when superchampion Cris Pannullo defeated 4 day champion David Sibley!
