Shinji & Asuka Never Slept Together: Evangelion Theory

Hey guys, sorry for being MIA for a long time!

I wanted to get back in the game with a short one, so I slapped this together in a few hours. It dispels the age old theory that Asuka and Shinji did "it" off screen during the events of episode 15. The answer to this mystery is clear as day to those who understand Japanese, but the rumor has floated around in the west for decades because no one bothers to explain this simple context lost in translation.

Those theories are pretty much just the typical shipping fans often do when there is a young couple that clearly want one another but doesnt actually get together. Ppl project their own teenage years fantasies onto the characters and go like 'oh it would be so much cooler and edgy if they had sex' and go on looking for evidence to 'prove' their wishful thinking.

Great explanation, didn't agree with the do you love me theory to begin with cus I think it would've impacted them way more and would've been discussed atleast once, sure they did it in instrumentality(atleast it's implied) but everything was all over the place and their feelings were coming to the surface there

Only thing that bugged me was the sob- moans during the doll rip scene and how asuka said do u love me do u want me and how it's said at the end instead of fly me to the moon, what if she did, u know, what shinji did at the hospital but alone, and had these thoughts, would also explain the moans..wonder if u have a take on this
