For those that don’t know, this happens after Akira Fudo is exposed as a demon(he’s actually a Devilman but people don’t know about devilmen and just think that he’s a murderous monster). The kid that’s calling out to his older sister’s name is Tare(Taro) Makimura and Akira is a close family friend of theirs and is also the boyfriend of said sister, Miki Makimura. What they don’t know is that there house is immediately stormed by a mob of there neighbors who claim that Miki is a demon and a witch and kill her and her brother due to there connection to Akira. They violate and dismember Miki and Tare and impale their body parts in sticks and they burn the house to the ground. Akira arrives too late to save anyone and falls into a blind rage, slaughtering humans for the very first time in the series. Grief stricken he can only hold his lover’s head in his arms as he releases his sorrow over her loss into the morning sky as an indifferent Satan looks on from a distance in indifference. It’s through this traumatic event that his psyche becomes compromised and his spirit broken that allows for the devil inside of him to finally take hold and control his body. Through the power of love and his own will, he’s finally able to overcome the demon in the end and ultimately chooses not to wage war against Satan as to not give in ti his own hatred again forcing the two to share the destroyed planet together.
