I been driving this car for 2 year got it used 2014, with 97k miles. Today I got 189k miles since I drive it work use and haven’t had any issues

Update: Update to this vehicle since this got some traction. I’m currently at 224k miles still going strong. New sensors put in and new wheel bearings with new tires. Still no major repairs and just doing regular oil changes and fluid changes. I’m shooting for another 200k miles on this baby. As of December 20th 2023

I owned a 2012 Escape Hybrid with 256, 156 miles until two 18-wheelers hit it. There were no problems with it, and the family lived to buy another Escape. 🥰I have 103, 226 miles (2016) and had to replace a light bulb.

I have a 2017 Escape Titanium AWD with the 2.0L. It was purchased brand new and had the engine rebuilt at 28, 000 miles and a full replacement at 58, 500 miles because of coolant intrusion. Currently, at 95, 000, the transmission or torque converter are going bad. Thankfully, I purchased the extended warranty. This is the last Ford that I will own.

About to hit 100, 000 miles on my 2018 escape with the 1.5 eco boost. My wife drives the car really hard and it’s done very well for us. Still runs and drives like brand new. So far I’ve done tires, brakes, a wheel speed sensor, and a rear tailgate latch, also I change the oil every 3000-4000 miles. We are very happy with our escape.

I have a 2019 Ford Escape AWD that was purchased in Canada.I suddenly was having engine over heating issues and discovered that the engine coolant was leaking. The engine has a design flaw that can cause engine coolant to leak into some cylinders. Ford replaced the engine under warranty (at 38, 000 km) with a new updated engine that does not have this flaw. I am hoping that this ends the coolant problem. Crossing my fingers ...

My mom had a 2015 Escape for 5 years (2018-2023) and she hated it. The brakes had to be repaired exactly a year since she got it and it’s had problems with the transmission. The transmission problems started in 2022 and in 2023(the last year she owned it), the transmission got worse. It grinded in 2nd gear and it would grind when put in park. On new years 2024, she sold it and got a 2020 RAV4 because she wanted a car with better mileage.

Have a '17 2.0 EB 82, 00 miles. Engine light, number 3 cylinder misfire. Replaced all four plugs, packs and cleaned the throttle body. It still codes. Had it scanned and it said air flow obstruction (EGR) valve. Cleared it, dumped in some Seafaom and it really ran well. MPG went to over 28 MPG avg. Now, its coded again.

I own a 2017 Ford Escape Titanium Turbo and at 70, 000 miles my engine light went on and after I took it to the shop to have it diagnosed it turned out to be a $8, 000 repair. It turns out that the 2017 have these issues of having the head seal leak into the engine and since the block is made of aluminum it would require a complete engine replacement. Don't bother about getting it from another distributer, it has to bought by Forde at $5, 000 and the rest is labor. I had originally purchased new in 2017 and it was under warranty until the 60, 000 miles. It is known that this is an issue and that there is no recall on it. My wife and I are on the fence on whether to replace the engine or not, what do you think. It still looks new from the outside and the inside

2.5 doesn’t have any major problems with it. Most of the problems are on the 1.5/2.0. Stay away from the ecoboost engines

Very useful information; professionally presented. Overall, an outstanding video for those owning Ford Escape models. Thank you. Down to the deal, my 2015 2.0 will go for cooling system related issues.

I have had a 2013 for 3 years. No problem. Now coolant leak ! I’m told probably a blown head gasket! Misfire in cylinder3. Ford says replace the engine for a longer block! 8000 dollars! WTF! Now I’ve found it’s a common problem!

I am looking to buy used Ford Escape 2018 with 99k miles on it at a dealership, I already did the test drive. It felt good. Now, I've got a good feeling buy as a cautionary guy, I want to be sure that this is a good car. Or if i need anything else with the car? If anybody have any tips, I'd love to hear them.
