How to open hood on 2013-2019 Ford Escape

I had trouble with figuring out how to open this one, so I figured I would make a quick video to help someone else out.

This is a most helpful video. The Ford owner's manual does not show where the opening lever is.

Thanks you!! We just got out Excape a free days ago. I wanted to put in some additives to the windshield washer fluid. I won't lie I got a little frustrated trying to open it completely. as someone said in an earlier comment, the user manual was useless. Thanks again.

Thank you. I just bought a 2017 in December and 1) actually got a low windshield wiper fluid alert; so, 2) needed to know how to open hood.
Upgraded from my 1999 Ford Explorer, so...interesting new fancy features.

I figured it out on my 2015 Ford Escape that I used to have. Now that I drive a 2020 Ford Escape SE in black which it is so easy to opening the hood. So far that I have been filling up the windshield wiper fluid in the vehicle. Even fitting my hand in behind the headlights, too. On my last Ford Escape that I did that twice on my own with the headlights. It was so easy for me since I have small hands.
