Top Boy Season 3 or some of you may like to call it Top Boy Season 5 came to an end. Was it the right ending? In this video I go through the ending of Top Boy's final season and what happens with both Sully and Dushane. I also give some thoughts around how they should have had a few more episodes to flush out the storylines. Was it the right way to end Top Boy? I'm going to sit in the camp, I don't think so.

*Was it the right ending for Top Boy? I don't think so. I always felt 6 episodes was way too short for the final season. I felt as if they needed the 8-10 episode mark to really flush out the characters, storylines and plots. The Irish who were introduced could have had a more significant role, there are unanswered plots around Liverpool who in my opinion, should have come back for revenge for Curtis's death. I also feel there should have been a different ending, with one of Sully or Dushane ending up in prison. Dushane's heart problem seemed like it was brushed aside with a few mentions to this, but felt like a wasted storyline. But let me know your thoughts, I thought a 10 episode final season could have really given the time to flush the characters and storyline out which would have also made the final season not so rushed.*

I think stefan not killing sully was definitely one of the highlights, now he can live a pure life, make something of himself

Dushane’s desperation at the end of Top Boy was just like Franklin Saint’s. All I could see was Franklin the way Dushane was acting. Committing murders out of selfishness and anger. He had no reason to Kill Jeffery. Robbing Sully as well, he didn’t need to do that. But Dushane was right when he said Sully would never have given him the 250K to leave the country

It was hard watching Dushane go out like that, he’s normally very calculated and strategic on the road but this season he was moving way too sloppy.

The whole point of not knowing the identity of Sully’s Killer was to show case that people think when they get to the top of the drug industry they gain immunity from Revenge, the law etc. But on that journey to become the “Top Boy” you have to accept that you gain a number of enemies as you have to Kill to get to the top. In other words, Sully made so many enemies he didn’t even know all of them.

I think the killer was definitely Jaq. She was done with all the bullshit. She lost her sister, she was seeing how much damage drugs were doing to the community and was shown the true colours of both Sully and Dushane - they never respected her, and she was dispensable. Whoever killed Sully would have been following him and knew he had the bag. They didn’t bother with that - it was only about ending Sully. Also, the fact Sully seemingly believed he was back on top - bag of food, no ops, no dushane, given a pass by Stefan - right before he died made that kill more vengeful for the shooter.

Kano made this season what it is amazing . Never realized this man could embody a character so well but he did .

also, the best scene for me was when stef had the gun pointing at the mirror saying gangster liens, reminded me of 50 in get rich or die trying. Really hope he gets a spin off in a few years time when he’s slightly older he has potential look how well tariqs has done this show is massive and is as big as power in the U.K as powe is in America.

I believe it was Jaq, but it could’ve also been Si and the fields youts, as well as the Irish. Point is, Sully had a lot of ops and everyone wanted him dead

Aaron was studying for 2 full seasons…you’d think he’d be doing more than marketing🥴🥴

This season had solid performances but i did feel like it was cut short. It was ashame Dushane went out that way, it would have been better to close his chapter with him leaving the island, and being on the run indefinitely, maybe some how being able to catch up with Lizze and Lithe. As for Sully even though he was the villain/good guy, a cat only has so much luck before its lights out. Overall it was a pleasure to watch and see such great talent coming from our shores.

They should have continued with the season and perhaps add another 2 or 3 seasons. There was no need to kill off Jaime, sully or dunshain! Top Boy is the same company as The Wire and deserves much more to its gritty and powerful stories. The actors were brilliant and had lots more to give!

It was rushed if I'm honest... It had the potential to be solid season... ... 6 episodes una kmt It was kl but underwhelming overall with some good moments.

Was crazy when sully got back into his car he took his gun out of his waistband and put it in his back pack. Cool little detail showing us he had a gun and could have killed Jamie’s lil bro when he turned around but knew his anger was justified.

I feel like Dushane should’ve died after from a heart attack years later after Stefan killed Sully which would lead Shelly coming home and finding Dushane dead which leaves Stefan as the Top Boy or Jaq either way it was a solid season but should’ve been more eps and diff ending💯💯

Totally agree that Jaq was the one that killed Sully. She knew the game & came out as Top Boy. 6 episodes was way too short but I can't thank the writers enough for such an epic finale & all the actor's for such an amazing journey.

Top Boy is up there with The Sopranos and Breaking Bad

Top Boy should have been given more life, not kill off some it's key players, and the story lines could have been done better. Top Boy could be another Power, delivered a bigger plots and more seasons.

It would be been so predictable if Stefan would've taken out Sully for taking out Jamie. So I'm glad Jac took out Sully.

There is only 2 logical possibilities:

1. Stef had a change of heart bc shooting someone in the face is always harder rather than just walking up to him and shooting from behind. He wanted to do that all along but Sully noticed him so that wasnt an option. He turned around followed him and shot him. But I believe it isnt him bc of the gun (Stefs gun was silver and shiny the one who pulled the trigger had an All Black gun).

2. Jaq is probably and most likely the killer. The scene on the couch and her dead look kinda gives it away. Only one possible method to save herself and her nephew is to whack Sully. Motive is there and the stature of the figure that walked away does look like Jaq. The point with the gun could also be made here if you look close how Jaq walks during the heist and her gun it pretty much matches with the figure that walked away after shooting Sully.

But all in all I think this scene is to show us: It doesnt matter who killed him. It was due to come... There is no happy endings in this world guys never not in Real Life and also not in Movies/Series (Especially in NOT-Hollywood productions :D)
