I'm a relic from past times when you held your accounts and fund shares at the mutual fund company. Slowly closing those down and moving into accounts at Fidelity, Schwab, Vanguard, and Robinhood. All have their strengths. Between the 4, at least one will offer the same mutual fund access and fractional shares as the fund companies. Added bonus was cancelling my Morningstar premium subscription and replacing with all the free, or small fee (RH Gold), research material available from these 4 brokerages.

Schwab is an awesome platform. It's easy to use both laptop or app. I was with TD waterhouse since 1993! In 2018 I switched to CS!

Fidelity has become my go to because they have a great no-fee HSA account option which most don’t have. In my opinion, Fidelity is also better than Schwab because Fidelity sweeps uninvested cash to high yield money market funds which Schwab does not do, meaning idle cash on Schwab is harder to deal with as you would have to manually put the money into a money market fund.

The problem with Vanguard is that they don't allow fractional shares, restrict what ETF's I can purchase (no leveraged ETFs are allowed) and make it relatively more difficult to trade options. Fidelity, on the other hand, is super easy in all respects and their website is really superb, showing many details on one page. Vanguard is, essentially, a mutual fund company, and it looks like they want to stay that way.

It's all in what you're familiar and comfortable with. I'm all over the place. I have Schwab thru work. Fidelity for my Roth. M1 and SoFi to play around with. I consider myself a fairly new investor, so as far as ease of use my favorite is SoFi. But if I have to choose only one to go with I'm going with Fidelity as best all around.

I love Schwab EXCEPT Schwab does not offer automated investing into ETFs (like SCHD or JEPI), which is important for folks that want to dollar cost average but do not want to manually do it. I moved a portion of my portfolio to Morgan Stanley’s eTrade because I can automate investing into ETFs with eTrade.

I have my IRAs with Ameritrade and my brokerage account with Charles Schwab. Schwab just bought Ameritrade, so my retirement accounts will transition to Schwab at the end of the month. Honestly, I like both platforms and have zero issues using either of them. I’m actually kind of glad to be putting all of my accounts under one roof now. Schwab for me.

I love Fidelity and I am pretty sure they do fractional shares too! I also love their credit card! 2 Percent unlimited and it can be setup to auto invest into your brokerage! Great video!

I use M1 & Schwab & I’m super happy w both, I have a taxable with both & also a Roth w M1…I like M1 better due to the pies & how visual it is, seems to be the best platform for beginners & those with experience . And w only two trade windows it’s a simple set & forget strategy. Plus tons of information. M1 would he my recommendation

Here's a con for Schwab. They don't allow fractional shares. I mean, they do, but only in the 30 top U.S. companies. For someone like me, that mostly buys in fractions, that's actually a big con. I like Fidelity & Robinhood because they do fractions on most stocks, as well as ETFs. At this point, I think all major brokerages should offer that. It's ridiculous they don't. Also, side note, I've used Webull and it wasn't that easy to use. I figured it out, but could be more user-friendly

Fidelity is my favorite, I have had M1, Robinhood, Webull, Moo, Etrade, and one more I forgot... lol... Fidelity is by far the best I have found, Fractional shares, Roth IRA, great research tools, great charts, planning tools etc. Customer service has been great too, they helped me roll over funds from an old retirement account and get my money out of Robinhood.

Really like Robinhood for the recurring investments. $$$ into different stocks on a weekly basis for me. Set it and forget it.

Charles Schwab is who I use and have had no issues with them. I actually got an account there initially because they don’t charge you any international fees when traveling! The brokerage account just came with the checking account option at that time.

Fidelity does offer fractional shares for ETFs and stocks but it does not offer an automatic invested feature like M1 Finance does. Schwab offers fractional shares for mutual funds only at the moment

13:20 I’m thinking the same. I had TD Ameritrade but they are converting over to Charles Schwab 5/10/24. I think I’ll play with all three to diversify even further. I wonder if that’s smart. Don’t wanna put all my eggs in one basket ya know.

Fidelity is my go-to. I have a webull also but it's just something to play around with.

Charles Schwab has got to have the best customer service of them all and I hope they continue that! I have everything with Schwab. Checking, retirement and IRA.
