I have trained and watched my protein intake and done all sorts of Heath stuff my whole life

I am 57 and bloody strong and I don’t look my age - and here is the kicker - it’s not just genetics as my whole family sisters and mother are over weight.

I have stayed 57-60 kgs for the majority of my life expect while I had my kids
And yes I have been through menopause and yes I am on hormone replacement as that’s just a bloody given as we need hormones

I increased my protein and reduced carbs and started weight training after a break of 7 years. Im gaining weight. Its very discouraging and since prioritizing protein my meals seem like too much eating generally. But im still not meeting 150g daily. Maybe 90-100. 😞

Insulin regulation is key. Extra protein will help a lot but if we are eating high carb We are in trouble.
