Do This Daily To Improve Brain Development

This is a really simple activity you can add into your daily interactions with your baby that has been shown to be great for their cognitive development.

It might seem intuitive (and you may find yourself doing it without even knowing it already), but even if it is, hopefully this encourages you to do it even more often throughout the day.

It's known as 'serve and return' and is such a nice, natural way to interact with your little one it's incredible easy to do each and every day.

I hope you find this helpful!

Fantastic video, as always! I followed your recommendations to be intuitive, highly responsive, and simply reading, singing, and talking constantly, and my daughter turned out to be a precocious talker. People literally always have been shocked and awed by her vocabulary, clarity of speech, and intelligence -- "she's like Baby Geniuses!" She knew all the animals and body parts before age one, was counting to ten perfectly around 17-18 months, then eventually counting to 20, followed by learning all her colors, shapes, alphabet, days of the week, etc. then speaking some full sentences before the age of two. It was all fun for her to learn too! I'm sure our new little baby boy will be just as awesome! Thanks again for doing what you do.

Thank you for another great video! This exact topic is on my mind all the time, with a nine-month old, and I appreciate you sharing how to connect these sharing opportunities. Most of all, I want her to feel strong and confident to express herself and her needs, and LEARN! You have created such an impactful library of videos, THANK YOU!!

The brain and cognitive capacities are 80% inherited. So the correlation is probably the other way around, i.e. higher IQ parents give more attention to their children, and these children inherited higher cognitive capacities so they have a better brain development. To disprove that we need to test the parents IQ and see if care make children deviate from their parents. Clearly, a neglected child will not potentialize his genes.

Dear Emma! Your videos helped a lot with my soon to be two year old. I just had my second baby and I wonder if you have a video or some kind of content about introducing a new baby to a toddler? Thank you for all the wonderful and useful things you've taught me! Can't wait to learn more 😊

Im trying to find baby stretches and excersizes. I couldn't find any videos on here that seemed medically good.
Im looking for arm and leg stretches for new borns my baby is 7 weeks old. We get her to move her arms slowly and we hold her while she stands so she uses her leg muscles. We find she goes to sleep after doing this for a bit.
Can you make a video about new born sleep stretches and excersize?
Ive seen some videos that show hip ones as well.

When little ones (below 6 months) are playing by themselves, for example under the play gym, and they’re cooing or “talking” to themselves as they play, do we also have to respond to them then? Or it’s okay to leave them as they play?

I really like this approach. But my toddler seems to need me ALL the time, even if I give hime a lot of attention, he will want for more, which is not always possible 😢
