SELF-FILMED BUCK from a TREE SADDLE!!! (Bowhunting South Dakota Whitetails!)

Greg has an awesome self-filmed bowhunt in South Dakota as he rattles in a buck for a 23 yard shot! The whitetail rut in the Great Plains seems to be behind the rest of the Midwest and the action is slow to start, but once Greg finds where the does are bedding and feeding he soon finds the bucks as well! Self-filming isn't easy, but when it all comes together it's extremely rewarding!

I like how when I watch Greg's films I feel confident the arrow is going to hit where he wants. I was surprised the coyote only got a hair cut.
I also like how I can tell Greg is a man who cares about being organized and methodical in his approach from his truck setup to his hygiene, most the other boys are a crusty bunch!

Greg is the best in terms of shot placement among the THP guys IMO. Great podcast he just did with Zach about shot placement and how he shoots vs conventional landmarks. Actually talks about anticipating how bucks drop as they pick up the sound and how that correlates to placement. Also shooting more forward to capture more of the coronary vs just going for lung shot. Great hunter

Greg, some of your videos are my favorite! As a tech nerd hunter, I loved the VR video! It would be awesome to see more of those. I've been mentoring my brother through his first season hunting deer and I gave him my VR headset and let him watch your preparation and set up in that video. It was a great tool and a great way to watch a hunt.
